I laid the foundations of Gülman Group in 1952, a time when Turkey and the world were undergoing a major transformation. To use a common expression, I entered the business world during a time when our country desperately needed even a single pin. In the aftermath of the Second World War and the subsequent restructuring of the world order, my greatest goal became bringing innovations to my country that would support Turkey's development in industry, trade, and the service sector. From a young age, my aim has always been to bring innovations to Turkish trade and industry. I focused on contributing to the development of Turkish industry, trade, and the service sector through innovative ideas, bold initiatives, and collaborative partnerships. Looking back today, I am proud to see that my company contributed to the establishment of many leading Turkish ventures and to have supported the development of my country's entrepreneurial spirit through the Gülman brand.

For over 70 years, our group's development and growth has been driven by real estate investments. Primarily in Istanbul and other major cities across Turkey, we have proudly pioneered quality construction and healthy urban development through our residential, office, and other commercial real estate investments. As a group, by always thinking ahead of our time, always relying on our own capital, and managing risk carefully and effectively, we have managed to withstand cyclical fluctuations.

Our most important future goal today is to protect and expand what we have achieved so far; to maintain our structure that inspires confidence in our stakeholders, and to continue our investments that will serve our country's economy.

As the honorary president of the group, I will continue to guide new generations with my experience, and proudly watch their achievements that will carry the Gülman name to the top.

My Experiences, My Recommendations

Kemal Gülman, entrepreneur, businessman and the founder of Gülman Group, shared passages from his business life and the steps that brought the group to today in the book titled "Stories from Business - My Experiences, My Recommendations".

The book, which was published as a book of recollections in 2022 on the occasion of Gülman Group's 70th anniversary, by the encouragement of the general acclaim, was first put on sale as an audiobook on Storytel, and then in bookstores across Turkey through the distribution by Alfa Publications.

All proceeds from this book’s sales are donated to the Turkish Education Foundation.
